Sunderland Pilates Studio

Sunderland Pilates Studio established in 2008 is situated in a beautiful building. In this light, calming space we teach over 25 classes and private one-to-ones every week.

We offer classes to suit all levels of fitness and experience ranging from beginners to advanced Pilates, specialised back care, pre natal, men only classes to Booty Barre, Yoga and Mindfulness classes. We also offer one-to-one sessions which are custom made around your specific needs and goals working on the Pilates reformer and other equipment.

We want you to get the most out of your Pilates class so if you are new to Pilates or have an injury then we advise you to book an induction session where we go through a health screen and you will learn the Pilates exercise principles. If you have done Pilates before and have no injuries then you’re welcome to book straight into any classes or email to book private one-to-one sessions.

Classes here at Sunderland Pilates Studio are kept small so we get to know you and work to your individual needs. We have a team of highly qualified and experienced instructors who are passionate about Pilates and the benefits it can bring to your life.

Janet is the owner of Sunderland Pilates Studio. Since starting her career as a professional dancer she has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years teaching many fitness disciplines before discovering the amazing benefits of Pilates. Even more passionate now about pilates after seeing the benefits it brings to her clients whether they are recovering from an injury or preparing for a sporting event.

Janet’s work had been recognised and gained the confidence and referrals from physiotherapists and health practitioners.

Lindsey Elliot

Lindsey has been teaching fitness for many years but pilates is her passion. Her qualifications include Pilates Mat OCR Level 3 and she is currently training in Body Control Pilates. She is a warm friendly instructor and makes everyone feel welcome in her classes.
